We start our tour at 7:30am with a 120km drive through rural northern Vietnam, from Hanoi to Ninh Binh. Our first stop is at Hoa Lu – the first royal capital of Vietnam’s centralized feudal state from 968 – 1010 led by three dynasties of Dinh, Early Le and Ly.

Hanoi attractions are breath-taking remnants of its 1,000-year history, including ornate Buddhist temples, ancient citadels, unique theatres, and French colonial architecture, as well as traditional villages and tranquil parks set just outside the city. One of the loveliest features to this French-colonial city is its many lakes, offering beautiful stops to rest in between venturing out in the capital's bustling streets.

  • 8:00-8:30: Pick up at your hotel. Transfer to visit following attractions.
  • Ho Chi Minh Complex: Beginning your day by visiting the Uncle Ho’s resting place, completed in 1975, the complex includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. At first you enter to visit the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where putting Uncle Ho’s body, then having a round to look at the rest points. You will hear stories about the man who led Vietnam’s campaign for independence from French colonial and his frugal daily life. During the year the mausoleum is closed for a month for preserving and sprucing Uncle Ho up.
